The teacher reflects on his/her practice.
During student-teaching, I observed my cooperating teacher, took over the classroom for two weeks, and gain experience. During this time, I received feedback to create a more dynamic teacher presence and work on pacing as my teaching career continues. I designed a professional development plan. Developing a plan for your goals is crucial because as a teacher we strive to improve. It is for my first year of teaching. I set a goal to become an effective math teacher and advocate for her students. I am interested in learning about training and development programs for research-based instruction, assessment and evaluation, and differentiated instruction. I am also considering studying more on language acquisition which seems unrelated to math. However, math is often considered its own language. Along with that, I plan to get involved with teacher associations nationally and in Texas.
